The program grows... Most of the other clubs that Parks raced against belonged to the Metropolitan Milwaukee Ski Council Parks. The program was called the MMSC Junior Ski Racing Program originally consisting of five skiing clubs, including: Alpine Valley, Heiliger Huegel, Milwaukee, Parks and Scotsland. Over the years, we have seen clubs come and go (Americana from Lake Geneva, Chestnut from Galena, IL, Sundown out of Dubuque, IA, Wilmot and Snow-Star), but the core of the competition remains the same. In 1993, difficulties developed with the MMSC, so Parks (and the other clubs) left to form what is the Wisconsin Junior Racing (WJR). Today, there are five ski teams that make up the WJR: Alpine Valley races as the SWA Team (Southeastern Wisconsin Alpine Team), Heiliger Huegel (Holy Hill), Scotsland became Olympia, Ausblick and Parks.
